Forgot to write about Chiang Mai! Ohhhh Chiang Mai, how I loved it so. Stayed in a really nice guest house. Went to the zoo, which was amazing. Took us 5 hours to walk around the whole thing. You can pretty much touch and feed every animal there. I held a Koala! She was called Pong Dong, we are friends for life. Jess and Jen fed a Jaguar. Giraffes were cool, had really longh tongues! The elephants aren't confined so you can just go up and stroke them. Hippos I think were my faveourite, just chillin in their pool. They leant up to us and opened their mouths realllly wide. After zoo went out to the clubs which was really fun. Lots of thieving little children there though. Went to the night market which is the nicest one we've been to, it's not realy aimed at tourists so everything was much cheaper. Got Dad a wall hanging which the woman painted right in front of me. Grace and Lucy met us and we all went trekking. Went to an elephant camp, me and Grace rode on Camoon, she was very slow, I think in more ways than one, got very confused about which way to walk. Had lunch in a little hut thing and saw pictures of people we know back home on the wall! Then we went on a looooong walk, mostly up hill. Grace was extremely hungover, she started throwing up around the time our guide started eating ants. Never go out the night before a trek. Stopped off at a waterfall which was really nice. Then we stopped at our camp, had one hut with all our beds in, the roof was made from leaves. And a few others which a family lived in. Washed our hair in the river next to it. Next day we split off from the rest of the group because we were just doing the 2 day trek and we walked with Bob the guide for a while before going bamboo rafting. Our guide pushed us all in the water so I thought it would be a good idea to pull him in in the shallow area full of rocks. Cut my toe open and bruised my torso. Started getting ready to go out in our hotel and got attacked by a derranged German man. Don't worry, will explain when I get back. All went out and met a really nice Irish guy called Ronan. Next day spent the day sat round a pool with him. Managed to get a bit of a tan. Next day we all travelled to Bangkok. Slept most of the day and did a bit of shopping. Last night in Bangkok we all went out with Ronan and met a guy called Ryan from Hebden, was so much fun. Cried my eyes out leaving Grace and Lucy :(! Had such a good time with them. Was still a bit drunk in the airport which was funny, fell asleep in Burger King.
