Koh Tao was great, had a few good nights out at beach parties but after a few days there the rain was getting worse and worse, its now flooding. Was staying in a horrible little hut which stank, i swear the mattress was made of wood. Got eaten up so bad by mozzies. Such a shame we couldn't go diving because it's supposed to be amazing and it was one thing out of the trip that I was really looking forward to. But the mood was worsening and we had to get out of there. Thought Koh Phi Phi might be better so booked a bus there, got to Krabi and the boats weren't running there because of the weather. Decided to go to Bangkok. 13 hour bus ride, started off in a really comfy bus with a t.v and couches, that lasted 2 hours, we were then moved on to the bus of doom. The roof above my seat was leaking, so I was dripping wet, caught some of the drips in a plastic bag which completely filled up and fell off. Clara bless her had to share her seat with me, had been travelling for so long we were delerious. But Karma came around and the driver let us sleep in the little beds at the front of the bus for the last few hours. Arrived in Bangkok at 5 in the morning, very confused, bombarded with taxi drivers, wondered around for a while looking for our hostel, got a taxi and realised it was pretty far away. Slept until 1, woke up still tired but decided to go out. Met a friendly Tuk Tuk driver called Charlie who drove us around all day for 10 baht, so we bought him a beer. Went and booked trekking in Chang Mai which is riding and washing elephants, bamboo rafting etc. Very cheap. Going out tonight to see what the night life is like in Bangkok. Enjoying it so far, such a relief to be away from rain! Have to go now as we seem to have misplaced our room key!
