We spent a couple of days in Florence and celebrated Tam's birthday at a place called Mamma Mia's and later ventured into the night life at a local club that took us back to the 80's.We did see the Statue of David, which was worth the couple of hour wait and Mary Poppin's (aka Tam) took care of my failing ankle for the rest of the trip. I need to mention Poppin's and explain the nick name I gave her for the trip. Tam god bless her came on the trip ultra prepared (thank god as I ran out of toothpaste the first week), if we were going to be hit with a flash flood, cyclone or anything else the elements threw at us she was prepared. She had this miracle bag; truly it was a bottomless bag as no one can fit that amount of stuff in it that Tam produced on this trip. Not only did she have all this stuff that kept being produced, but she looked after my ankle for the whole trip.
