A Tale of Two Robbos
Hola from Los Robbos! We will be based in Peru for the next year with Latin Link, working with 'children at risk.' Hopefully this blog will provide you with some insight into our journey, without boring you too much with our innermost thoughts!
Daunted and excited by what lies ahead, we're asking you to join us, as we face the highs and lows of life in Peru. How can you do this, we hear you ask?!! Below are a few ideas:
~ Keep in touch! Being away from home can be challenging and you can feel 'out of sight, out of mind' so please get in contact here or through email/facebook/skype/post - it's always good to hear other people's craic!
~Contribute! Through our own savings we'll be financing all flights, travel throughout the year and language training. All funds raised/donated go to our project and its running costs, providing an opportunity for others to directly impact these children's lives. You can contribute a one-off gift or on a monthly basis through: www.justgiving.com/losrobbos Whatever the amount, it's greatly appreciated! (Financial breakdown available on request)
~ Pray! This is a core part of this experience. We will be spending a lot of time on our knees over the next year, so why not join us?! Get in touch if you would like to receive an occasional prayer update (we will keep them short!) and keep your requests coming too!
Thank-you for the support many of you have shown already, we continue to be surprised and humbled by the way God provides.
And so...it begins...
