so just got back from the island of koh sammed or sammet they spell it different all the time. anyway, it was rather laid back there. quite enjoyed it despite the bars being open, blaring music out til 3 in the morn despite not having anyone in there. the weather was really nice and being in a bungalow by the sea was pretty sweet.

the locals there were very helpful aswell, if i got lost or needed help they were on hand.

to say that they island apparently only got proper electricty a few years back and has just given way to tourism, its quite a decent place to go,not yet over crowded.

i think my favourite thing was going to eat my tea at sunset on the beach, it was beautiful every night.

i also went on one of those boat tour things they did around the island, only 400 baht (about 8 quid) so rather cheap seeing as we got 5 hours on it, went to the fish and turtle farm, snorkelling, fishing (alas i did not catch any- you should have seen the "fishing rod" though, totally helpless)and food and drink on board was included.

the last night unfortunatly i got hit with food poisoning, arg and im still recovering, but i should be okay in a few days, i guess it comes with the territory of being in thailand.
