Left`Sydney on Jan. 4. A day cruising before reaching Melbourne. We had planned on going ashore but the weather was not great and, since we had been in Melbourne on our earlier cruise, we gave it a pass and stayed on board. Another day of cruising before arriving in Hobart today. Wandered around the downtown for a few hours. Nice enough little city - great harbour setting - but nothing that particularly stands out. The interesting parts of Tasmania are out of Hobart and were offered on many of the ship's excursions, but we had already covered most of them on our own when we were here in December. This is our last day in Australia. It is a really interesting country and we are very pleased with our nearly three months here. We leave in an hour for New Zealand. Two days crossing and then a day cruising the fiords of the South Island before our first land stop. The next blog will probably be four days from now
