Good to know you are in the land of the living and that all is well. Had training day today so am home a bit early cos we started at 8 and went straight through lunch. Nana is holding her own at the moment anyway. So all is good here too!

Finally got some wifi! We were off all radar for a few days there! We still have to pay for wifi but I should have access to it for the next few days. Good to get the emails and messages to hear the news from home.

Reading your blog makes me feel you should stay in New Zealand. You seem to be having such a lovely time with what sounds like a lovely group of people. Plenty of adventure and lots of chat. What more could a body want? Enjoy it all while the rest of us have to go to work !!!

Fair play to you for doing the climb. A lot of puffing and panting i,m sure but you must be glad to have gone that far. Just as well you are not in Australia these days. Have ye been hearing about the heatwave there. Up in the high 40s. Hopefully it will have cooled down before you go to the middle of the country because that would be hot anyway. Seems 50 has been registered. Hottest in years and years. It would have to happen when snow white Lorraine is there! Poor Tasmania is in a bad state after the bush fires going mad! Lucky you had that tour done before this too. Keep well hydrated anyway with all that heat. Mind yourself and chat soon.

Great that there is a bit of social life attached to this trip. Enjoy it! Nana was in fairly good form again today and docs think she will be able to come home tomorrow or Wednesday if she keeps it up. The hydration will be a problem then but sure all they can do is give it a try. No other sca. Working today. Very busy. Have to start taking xmas trees apart now tonight.

Hi Lorraine, Good to hear you are still alive and seem to be having a good time. I am nursing a bad cold so I have often felt better but hopefully the worst will be over after today.
All the candles and trees are lit for the last time this xmas which is a little sad.
I was at work on Friday but tomorrow is the first day when everyone is back so full steam ahead then.

Hi Lorraine! checked the blogs for the last few mornings and disappointment: nothing there. Then, this morning, just checked in case and what a surprise: Great reading and delighted that you have lots of people with you and nice scenery. Better that what we have this morning: Grey, dreary, drizzly ! Oh, for a bit of sunshine! However, today is the 6th. Jan. 13: Little Christmas!. I usually do a Christmas dinner again today but to please Tom, I have duck instead of Turkey. I better get cracking or we won't have dinner until evening. I had an awful flu over xmas. While I am not sick now, I can't shake off the cough-its keeping me awake at night, so I'm wrecked. Mick's anniv. Mass was on Fri eve., so we all ended up in Mam's for the chat, the usual. Muireann was in Sligo Fri & Sat and is due back today. Back to school tomorrow!. Are n't you lucky! Enjoy the rest of your trip-it sounds like it is going to be good fun- and we'll keep in touch.
