Day 37: 6/2/13 Up at 6:30 this morning. It takes an hour for a group to get ready, have breakfast and pack the trailer. We did a hike then to Chataqua peak in the mountains around. The path mostly wound around gently uphill so wasnt too strenuous. When we got to the top you could walk out over the rocks to the actual tip of the peak. Day 36: 5/2/13 It was hard to get up this morning as the other people in the room were all still in bed! Luckily I had a shower last night so I didn't have to get up too early! I got picked up anyway which is always a good start to the trip. We picked up a few more people and then started to drive. Day 35: 4/2/13 This morning we were spoiled as we didnt have to leave until 9 which meant we could get Up after sunrise!! It was the first morning in a week we got up in daylight!! We had a very lazy morning and the guide cooked pancakes for us and there was plenty of Nutella for them too! Day 34: 3/2/13 We had a sleep in this morning- we didn't leave until 7- yippee!! Anything after 5 is a sleep in at the moment We went noodling this morning. When they are mining, they have a blower machine that sucks out the rubble created by the explosions. There could be bits of opal in this rubble, but the miners are looking for big sections of opal and aren't interested in this. Day 33: 2/2/13 Today we left at 5:45 to head on an 800km journey to Coober Pedy. That's a crazy length to be driving!! Dan, the driver/guide, wasn't looking forward to it and wanted people that weren't going to sleep to sit up the front and entertain him.
