Day 26: 26/1/13
Today was another tough start!! We were to leave at 8:30 but when we got to the bus he said they had changed the times or something and we didn't need to leave until 9. So Jenny and I went for breakfast and had $12 egg on toast!
I'd to say goodbye to her then as she's heading back to Christchurch and Queenstown. I think we will definitely meet again though so it didn't seem that sad. I will miss her over the next few days though as she's really comical and has had me in stitches for the last few weeks. In some ways she reminds me of Muireann.
We picked up all the dolphin swimmers then. I don't know how they got up for 5 but they did and they loved the swim. They saw whales too so they were very lucky!
We had a long trek again today. We drove to Picton and just stopped once for coffee in a place called Ward! In Picton we had to wait about an hour to get the ferry across to Wellington. It takes about 3 1/2 hours on the ferry. We sat in the part with the tv though and saw Wild Hogs and Daddy Day Care and had a nap aswell. We had seen the scenery on the ferry south so we weren't too bothered about seeing the view.
In Wellington it took about an hour to get our bags on the ferry, drive to the hostel and check in. It was after six in the evening when we got to the room- another long day of travelling.
The wifi worked for a while but then wouldn't do anything for me which is really annoying as I have blogs to update!!
Hazel and I went for a walk and went for a pizza. We didn't bother going too far as we were both tired and wanted an early night as tomorrow we leave at 6:40! Not good!! We were in bed at about half eight but stayed up talking till after ten. It was just Hazel and I at first and then the English guy Chris came back from a walk and we were chatting to him too. Early night for us all though, for once!!
