Day 26, 27 & 28 - 8th, 9th & 10th August Flagstaff to Phoenix Arizona

The morning started very fresh. Dropped the bike at victory BMW at 10.15am and had the rest of the day to look around although most of the local shops have closed down due to slow times.

Spent the rest of the day in the customer lounge chatting to staff and other customers about my travels. Being a Saturday the guys were eager to get out of there but they didn't finish the bike until 6.30pm. Being so late I had trouble finding an RV camp that
was suitable for tenting so I decided to room it for the night at RB Lodge in Mesa. It was a very Mexican style lodging built around 1948 and the rooms looked straight out of the 1970's, but it was very clean so I decided to stay there for three nights. The area has some great cactus and the one outside the hotel were enormous.

The temperature started to creep up to the low 40's, although being a dry heat it wasn't that bad. Not much to report other than stocking up on supplies for the southern run.
