Day 3 - 16th July Brooks Range to Deadhorse - 230km

Post apocalyptic Petroleum Camp

A postapocalytic petrochemical camp so ugly that it's intriguing, taken from a quote. Not sure about the intriguing part. I get the feeling nobody wants to be here.

Short run today so I took it easy as I didn't want to be at the hotel to early. Road conditions were ever changing, from rocky, muddy, ball bearing rocks and road works. Only had one small tank slapper, otherwise no problems.

Not much to do in Deadhorse but leave as soon as soon a possible. What a rip off the Deadhorse Camp hotel is. A basic meal is $20 US. Ended up cooking up a feed in the hotel room.

There are a few Caribou around the hotel, got some good video footage of two crossing the road.
