Dubrovnik is another walled city but this time on the coast of Croatia. It's much bigger than Kotor, more touristy and easily the most expensive place we have been. We stayed with a nice old lady who said to call her our mamma in Dubrovnik (bless).
The few days we had there we spent wandering round the old town and along the walls which have been rebuilt after being bombed during the war. We would have done more but it was soooo hot it felt like we were melting. I have even had to resort to buying a fan as an attempt to keep cool. We did manage a boat trip to the Elafati Islands which were very pretty and full of little fishing villages.
Before too long we decided that Croatia was going to put a big whole in our pockets so we headed once more inland to Bosnia and Herzagovina.
