The University of Richmond Faculty Seminar Abroad provides faculty a two-week opportunity to gain new international, interdisciplinary knowledge about a region or country selected on the basis of its current importance for the United States, in the world, and to the University's curricular needs. Since its inception in 1989, the faculty seminar fosters an interdisciplinary dialogue on teaching and research with a shared focus on the studied and experienced country or region. Participants in the 2013 Faculty Seminar Abroad will travel to Jordan, Israel, Serbia, and Kosovo to study peace and conflict management.
