After a rainy morning of cycling, we were hungry. On Sundays, almost everything in small town France is closed. Fortunately, we were welcomed into the town celebration for the local association sportif. Lots of music and singing (locals were here to party with their families.). Didn't have to worry about keeping the kids quiet here. French people chatting us up, welcoming us. Check the video. Pictures Val and Brent with our new French friends.

Jane settling into our hotel in Blois. Good thing that we had a short ride today because weather was cool and gusty near river (panniers act like sails.). Kids went swimming in hotel pool. Visited chateau Blois, saw infamous cabinets where Catherine de Medici stored her poisons. Sound and light shows are French tradition, and tonight's in Blois did not disappoint.

Les enfants playing cards in brasserie awaiting dinner. Another great day on vacation. Kids had salmon. Adults had escargot, salmon, shrimp, melons with ham and chèvre sorbet, pork, local white wine. All formidable!
