We only spent one day in Hue as we found it pretty boring. We took a leisurely stroll to the imperial city. We booked the bus to Hoi An for the next day which took just 4 hours. Today was a bit of a bad day. I discovered I'd lost my memory card for my camera. But we headed out in the afternoon to the army museum to see some bombs and planes which was all very exciting. We rode a few bombs while we were there and Fenning did some planking (standard). We had a great time. Afterwards, we headed back to the hostel where we came across a French bakery!!! Ahhhh the excitement on my face! I had a croissant, a Danish pastry and a little baguette...

We got up for brekky and packed our bags to leave the island. The weather had turned rainy and horrible so we were glad to leave the island.. However we were dreading the journey back as we were all feeling very rough! We endured another 4 hours on the party slash now sleeping bus back to Halong City where we would board a coach back to Hanoi. Upon boarding the coach, fenning informed us that he had left his shorts on the back of the boat. All confused as to why...

We got up super early after only a few hours sleep to go on what we had heard some good things about.. the castaway island tour!!!! We left the hostel in a group of about 34 people and got on a coach journey for 4 hours which took us to the boat dock at Halong City. We were introduced to our island rep, Yolo, who would be our guide for the trip. We then boarded a party boat to take us around Halong Bay to Castaway island which would be home for the next 2 night...
