Amm What is nice is that all Disney Owned Hotels are 3 stars plus although allot of the htoels are not within close walking range to Disneyland. The closest is the Disneyland Hotel which is right across from the entrance, then I would say Hotel New York, Newport Bay Club, Sequoia Lodge, Hotel Cheyenne and Hotel Santa Fe the rest of the htoels are further away even Hotel Santa Fe is a 20 minute walk to Disneyland although they do offer buses which drop you about a 3 to 4 minute walk to Disneyland park. The best deals you are going to find are going to be through Disney itself. Ferdi Do NOT stay at Grand Hotel Republique horrible place aluthogh unfortunately it might be the cheapest place in the city for a private room (I think that's why we chose it) And I agree with everyone else that a few basic phrases will be sufficient. We had no problems when we were in Paris and only knew a few words of French. Seemed like practically everyone in that city was a tourist. Just be polite and don't cause a scene and you should be fine.
