We are oficially in paradise! After arriving in Nadi, Fiji's mainland we scouted out a free shuttle to the hostel, Nomads, which was fairly basic but had everything we needed. The mainland is very poverty stricken and not at all like the tropical image that you get in your head when you think of Fiji. All the same, it's still very beautiful. Arrived in Wanaka this morning, SO BEAUTIFUL. Oh my god, the scenery is just out of this world. Crystal blue glittering lakes surrounded by the greenest landscape i've ever seen, topped off with a tremendous backdrop of snow-capped mountains 360 degrees around us! Breathtaking. We are off to Queenstown tomorrow and are staying 6 nights, phew, we can finally unpack! Next week we have booked a day trip to Milford Sound too which we are both really excited for. ...

Hi all, Sorry it's been a while we've been very busy moving from place to place rather quickly. So, what have we been up to. Rotorua In Rotorua we went for a wander around the massive lake which has lots of geothermal action going on and took some good pictures. We also went to a traditional Maori ceremony which we mentioned last time, this was lotsa of fun if not a little staged. So, Mercury Bay......really beautiful, we walked down the beach to a gorgeous place called Cathedral Cove. That night we stayed in a well random hostel, the couple that ran the place were pretty old and really loked after us. Homemade spag bol and garlic bread for tea then games of pool until bedtime.
