Saturday 11th Oct: I Woke up at 5 after 2 hours of really bad sleep. Finished packing and went down to the OzExperience pick up spot. Started talking to everyone else who were getting on the bus. Good mix of people. Our driver was Sonic and he told us loads about waht to expect up the coast. There was no way i could sleep on the bus beacuse the music was pretty loud, but it was really good drive and the 10 or so hours went pretty quickly. First Stop was Surf Camp at Spot x and we arrived at about 4:30. We had a great buffet dinner and then stayed up chatting till about 12.

On Sunday 12th Oct we had to get up at 6 to have breakfast and then Surfing lesson at 7! ouch. Our group was really good and all of us stood up atleast once. I thought i would be terrible but i managed to stand up almost everytime! I think the 2 Surfing lessons I had in Newquay 3 years ago helped! The water wasnt too cold and there was a photographer catching all our amazing poses on camera. I bought the CD of photos and a Hoodie becuase I realised I need one for the evenings and bus journeys... its not summer here just yet! We were on the bus and away by 11 in the morning heading up the coast for Byron Bay. On the way we passed though Ballina were some family freinds Lynne and Joe live.

Surf Camp was really good and so far the Oz Experience has been great, money well spent!
