hey all, we got the night coach from butterworth wich was supposed to take us all the way into singapore (that is what we were told!!) at 7am we were kicked off the bus and put on a city bus wich dropped us off at johor bahru which is at the malaysian border, we had no idea where we were, so we followed the crowds through to the customs and immigrations area and then through to the bus station. we had no clue wich bus we were supposed to get on and we must have been looking really confused as luckily for us a malaysian girl called jaymee came to our rescue. she kindly found the right bus for us, and paid for our ticket as we had no singapore dollars!! We gave her the rest of our malaysian ringets to thank her for her help. Our hotel was on the outskirts of little india (which was not good for me!!) but we didnt really spend any time here as the mrt station was just round the corner and gets you anywer for 30p in 5mins!! The F1 Grand Prix is being held from the 24th-28th of september, unfortunatly we cant stay till then as the accommodation doubles in price and we wont be able to afford it =( !! We have seen the grand stands and psrt of the track around the marina tho!!

The first thing we did was to go to Raffels Hotel to get a famous Singapore Sling (which was great!! =) !) v.v.v expensive but its got to be done hey!!

We took a trip over to sentosa Island by cable car which was a great place to get a view of the singapore skyline. The island is a natural existing island with man made beaches and tourist attractions. We met our tour guide who turned out to be very very camp with an extremely high voice, we were in hysterical fits of laughter! we went around the aquarium which was nice but much like any other aquarium, we did get to hold star fish and stroke ray and small sharks in the touch pools. there is a 3d cinema which the seats mov while you watch the movie in 3d. The luge was great (its part go-kart part toboggan) we got some right speed up down the hill we were like a pair of kids and then we got the sky rail back uo the hillside. Last attraction of our day was the dolphin lagoon, where we got to watch a dolphin show and then i made daryl pay for me to go in to the water to touch the dolphin and have my photo taken lol!! The dolphins were lovely, they were pink indo-humpbacks, this is the first time we have seen pink dolphins!! It was a really great day and i really didnt want to go home.

We went to the zoo the day after, its really nice and just like the rest of singapore its really green and clean and the enclosures are very natural looking and all the animals looked happy and healthy!! There was a particularly friendly lemur roaming freely who was more than happy for us to stroke him! we got to watch alot of feeding times and the elephants of asia show.

All in all we love singapore it is such a clean city and soooo green. The shopping on orchard st is great and there are some beautiful places. The botanical gardens are huge, there free to the public at all times. We had dinner down at clarke quay one night wich was great (and they were showing the football so daryl particularly enjoyed it!!) all the restraunts line the harbour side and there are some really nice walkways. We would have liked to of taken a river cruise but unfortunatly we didnt have enough time.
