We left Koh Samui by ferry for Phangan, pretty excited for the Half Moon party that night. Koh Phangan is famous for its parties, the Full Moon taking place every month which is on the beach; the Half Moon party takes places twice a month which takes place in the woods and then there is other parties such as the black moon party and little ones that lead upto the full moon party. Anyway, we chose the half moon party just because we felt we would be waiting around and wasting time if we stayed for the full moon party. Anywayyy, we arrived at our hostel, The Beach Village - we were in a 20 bed mixed dorm which sounds mad but it was completely empty when we first arrived! Soon met a couple of american girls and german girls and some guys from newcastle.
The hostel was lovely, had its own bar/cafe, a stunning pool which is right on the beach and a beach bar! The dorms were really basic and the toilets/showers were the basic of basic! haha i went to the bathroom and there was a frog in the toilet! Ewww!
We had predrinks at the beach bar and met some wicked people! We were all rammed in a truck taxi and then taken to the party! It was really busy but we had a good night!
Abit hanging the next day! Liss was super emotional, such a cry baby! Went for some dinner with three girls we met at our hostel, two from england and one from america - lovely girls.
The next day, Cathy and myself hired a moped and set off in search of the archery centre! We were pretty excited because it was so random but something so different to do. A German guy ran the centre and it was just us two there! He was really nice and it was so cheap for 45 mins. It didnt take us too long to get the hang of it.. definitely the next olmypic champions haha
We loved having the moped, so drove around the island some more to explore. It was so hilly, so we were attempting to get up the steeped of hills on this little moped with the wind bashing against our faces haha so much fun! The islands in thailand had Tescos!! We couldnt believe it when we first saw it, but we passed one when on the moped and went in for a little look. Pretty small, but so cheap!
We also went for our first thai massage on the Haad Salad beach. It was about 6 pound for an hour massage - barrrgin! The massages out here are pretty rough and they try get every part of you to click ! They even pull every one of your toes until it clicks haha ever so weird!
The three girls we met at the hostel left for Koh Tao a day before us, but after our time at Phangan we left for Koh Tao to meet them!
