We headed out this morning and went for the scenic drive through the Bad Lands. Amazing rock sculptures all around the park that you drive through (although nothing like the rock sculptures you literally drove through at the Needles Eye in the Black Hills!). We forgot about the hour time change between the two areas, and since we plan to get up early tomorrow for the final part of our journey, we decided not to take any time to get out and hike.

Elizabeth and Greg have decided to skip the final leg of their journey due to Zoe having a slight cold, and the friends they were hoping to see in Kansas City also feeling a little under the weather. Now that they're only hours away by car they at least know there will be many other opportunites to see each other (especially after this Covid is more under control).

So glad to be getting out of South Dakota as at least in the Black Hills area are extreme anti maskers, vaccinators, and, worse, "Trumpers". Everything about their rights not to have to get vaccinated or wear masks. Very hard to be around.

Needless to say, we're anxious to get home to our own bed(s) (as Greg and Elizabeth are already calling it home as well).
