What a day of contrasts this has been, and, for a change, I'm not talking about the weather. The weather was absolutely beautiful, mostly sunny and in the low 60s throughout the parks. The contrasts were with the landscape and road conditions. BEAUTIFUL day for driving through this part of Canada.. No snow, rain, ice.. just beautiful sunshine all day. Plus, only a 6 hour day. We could definitely tell we were getting into more civilization as well as we saw more traffic today than we've seen in the last 3 days of driving. EARLY morning start.. Up at 5:30 and on the road at 6:30, with snow coming down again. Joe and I were going to take Layla out for a walk before heading out, but there was a fox in the middle of the street who had no desire to move.
