We had a nice leisurely morning, and had time to enjoy that beauy of the mountains of Banff that surrounded us at the resort. The photo I used for this blog was taken from our front porch. We had hoped to take a hot tub this morning but it was already packed with people. I got a nice picture of Joe and Layla there where you can see the view.
We went from the beauty of that to the city of Calgary where we expereinced more traffic than everywhere else put together. It was the first time we were unable to follow each other easily. We reached the border a couple of hours after Calgary. What a difference of borders.. probably due to the fact the "we" (the USA) are not allowing Canadians into the states due to Covid. (Hard to believe since everywhere we went in Canada people were wearing masks and being careful.) Anyway, there was only one person ahead of us at the border, and we got through in minutes with no issues.
Within 30 minutes of crossing the border we were entering into Glacier National Park. What a beautiful drive, again filled with contrasts within the park of flowering trees and evergreens to LOTS of lakes and rivers, to a dense forested evergreen area, etc.
We got to the house that we rented, got groceries, unpacked, and a wonderrful meal put together. So nice to be able to cook for ourselves after the past 4 nights out picking up food at restaurants. Zoe had a bit of a fall during some of the commotion. She is so fast and busy that you can't take your eye off of her for a minute. She's doing fine and is such a delight!
Planning to get to explore the park tomorrow, so will have better pics of it then.
