Have spent 2 days on the Salar de Uyuni which is the worlds largest salt flat (remians of a prehistoric salt lake). As you can see from the photos it is pretty amazing. Just coming to the end of our short stay in Potosi, Bolivia. This town, made wealthy by its silver mining lies at an altitude of just over 4,000 metres (the typical European ski resort is about 2,000 metres). The effects of the altitude are astonishing.
