Now feeling suicidal, we boarded a very kulakish bus at 6am and set off to Tupiza. As soon as we got on the bus, all we could smell was coca leaves. The journey was very interesting. About one hour in we got a flat tire, which was changed promptly. However, the road then seemed to end so we instead drove down an old river bed for about 7 hours.
