Here we are back at Tilbury after a fortnight of ups and downs. Am I glad I did this cruise? Yes. Am I glad it's over? Yes. Would I ever cruise again? NO! We've seen the Aurora Borealis, which was the reason we went. We've also seen some of the most dramatic and breathtaking scenery imaginable. We've met a very small number of lovely people who we plan on remaining friends with in the future. We've also witnessed the most appallingly rude, selfish and inconsiderate behaviour from a large number of passengers. Makes you ashamed to be British. The ship was clean and the crew were very hard working and friendly. They bent over backwards to do everything possible to ensure your every need was met, sometimes for very little thanks and always with a smile. The food and drink was good and plentiful and the beds were comfy. We thoroughly enjoyed the classical music provided by the Carmen Duo as well as the guest speakers/lecturers. We went to very few of the main shows as they were very Butlinsy as was the atmosphere of the cruise in general! In fact it fully met our expectations of cruising.
