Hey all!! Melissa did her part so I figured I should probably do mine and update everyone on my life a bit. Asia has definitely been an experience so far. I have managed to make my way from Singapore to Vietnam so I have been busy busy. Seems i like to double up on words these days....you know same same but different (those of you who have been to an Asia market know what i mean!) I must say though, I do like this place. Although crazy, there is always something interesting going on. So since I kind of have a lot of catching up to do, I will just hit the highlights. Once into Thailand I headed straight to the island of Koh Tao to complete my scuba diving certification. It was a blast and I am definitely hooked! The island was beautiful and it was hard to leave. Lucky me, I get to go back to the islands to spend my last (sob) 10 days in Asia with Melissa. We will be hitting a full moon party....hint:Melissa bring your party pants...so I'm pumped for that. Then did a few days in Bangkok before heading to Cambodia. Cambodia was amazing. Such a culture shock! The people were wonderful, the countryside beautiful and yet it was also disturbing learning of all the hardship the country has endured. So now I am in Vietnam and the pace of life has just been bumped up about 10 notches. Yup, this place is nuts! Crosssing the street is probably the most dangerous thing I have ever done, but the system of taking a deep breath and just walking has been going pretty well so far so I'll stick with that. So with a really full bag I am headed north, a few weeks in Vietnam and a bit of time in Laos before heading to meet Melissa. Sorry not too many stories but I'll fill everyone in when I get home.
