Day 14 -19/5/18- Saturday
Today I did lots of things that were really fun! Firstly at 5:45 in the morning I got in the car and drove to the Olgas to see the sunrise! It was FREEZING!!!!! (2 degrees)
But it was beautiful. If you were there you would know what I mean... It started pitch black- to dark purple- to dak orange-to light pink- to a beautiful mix!
We took lots of photos.
After that we did two walks to come to the back of the Olgas, it was very windy and it took about 2 hours for both.
It was quite rocky and I got in trouble a number of times for going off the track on the loose rock and mum and dad said I might roll my ankle, but anyway moving on...
We went back to the campsite and had yummy bacon and egg wraps for brunch - yum!
Then we packed snacks and got ready to go for a 15km ride around Uluru!
We drove to Uluru and picked up our hire bikes and of we went.
About ten minutes in Campbell lost control and fell off his bike with Tom nearly running over him. Mum bandaged him up, no offence but he let the whole world know he was hurt!
We got bogged lots of time in the soft sand. We stopped to look at waterholes and aboriginal paintings in the caves.
We had a lot of breaks and Daddy gave me a turn on the dinky bike but he did a wheelie and scared the living daylights out of me!
When we finally got back we put the bikes away and drove home with very sore legs.
We had a nice hot shower, some pasta and watched a bit of the royal wedding
