Ok so its the queens birthday and the kiwis go all out in celebrating it here,, which meant the Monday off work, Not so good as a long weekend seeing as I am working friday night and sat day in gold lounge but really want to make the most of the weekend and the Monday off work.. we wanted to go to Taupo anyways and a spur of the moment thing we decided to go.. yey!! ;)

 we made it to Taupo after a very strange car ride, I thought I was doing well but I sorta got distracted by the pretty mountains and now I'm afraid of driving again after nearly killing myself and Seka, it wasnt that bad but it could have been if it happened like 2 min later as the road was clear where as soon after there were cars all over the road..but we are both fine and a little shaky and no damage to the car or anyone else but Seka decided to take the wheel form there on.

Taupo is  pretty quiet place a couple of bars and we had loads of fun at karaoke and lots of dancing in a bar which was totally full of older locals but we loved it and dragged our new friend James with us.. " port? who asked for port?"

we stayed at Rainbow backpackers which was friendly adn clean and they gave us a triple room which was great cos it was just us in there.

Seka made me go to a prawn farm.. met shaun the prawn (the sexy thang) they must make most of their money from him hahaha blah why did seka drag me there hehe ;) But at least we went and had a look..

Met a girl called  Laura ( From england) and we gave her a ride back to wellie with us we went to the craters of the moon and had a nice wander around there, it was cool didnt seem real sometimes as u can see from the pics

Gutted that we didnt have more time here or more money but next time in Taupo I am jumping out fo the sky woohoo cant wait!!
