I hope you had a wonderful christmas time and a fabulous party on New year's eve. We spent christmas on Caye caulker to recover from our sailing and snorkeling trip. It was a great trip, we sailed through turquoise water, stopped here and there for an hour of snorkeling, had a lot of rum punch and at night the crew would prepare the fish for us that had been caught during the day. Could not have been better. We camped on tiny islands that were hardly big enough for our tents and had romantic names like 'rendezvous caye'. Perfect Way to spend christmas in the Caribbean.
After Christmas we had to hurry through Mexiko to make it on time to cancun from where our flight left to San Francisco. We didn't have time to See anything really in Mexico, as usual, so we have to come back. We say that all the time and the list of things to do and to see is just getting longer and longer instead of getting shorter for having seen so many things. We plan to live until we are 137 to be able to see everything we want!
So San Francisco...great city, definitely one of the highlights of the tour so far! It was cold, but that was a nice change. Would really like to spent some time there, maybe working, Why is it so hard for europeans to work in the States???
Well anyway, we enjoyed it much which was probably also due to the very nice hostel we had with really hot showers, the perfect breakfast (they even had Nutella ;)) and comfy, clean rooms! Felt like Home.
We than took a bus down to los angeles from where Christians flight left on New year's eve. Luckily I could stay at Lindyey's house, so I didn't had to pass New Year's eve alone in a hostel. We met her in Peru hiking up the Machu Picchu.
Kirstin is flying in tomorrow and than we are off to Tahiti for a week and than to New Zealand where Esther will also join us! Looking forward to it although I am sad that the first big part of the trip is over now and that Christian had to fly home. But the adventure continues!
