When i was booking the bus to this place i specifically asked if it was a good bus i was assured "YES". Well it wasn't. When i turned up at the bus station i had to wait and while waiting i met a German guy who i got speaking to and he was travelling on the same bus with me. After a short wait i went over and asked if we could board now and the woman said yeh. So i grabbed my bag and asked her where to go and she through here. She pointed to a small luggage hole in the wall. I crouched down and wriggled though it then hauled my bag too. She then told me to take my bag to put it on the roof. I went outside to look then went inside and freaked out and told her no way. So i took my bag on the bus. The bus was not the best but of we set of through the night. It was going to be a 9 hour ride through the night. After a few hours of trying to get to sleep the road quality...well there was no road. We were off road and not going slowly so the whole bus was vibrating and so much the windows slid open. It was also bloody freezing i was wearing ALL my clothes and was inside my sleeping bag. At about 4am i got pissed of trying to hold the window closed so that freezing wind didn't blow in my face so we got sticky tape to close it up. After the hard work i went to have a drink of water but i couldn't. The water had froze. It was so cold in the bus as there was no heating my water had frozen solid. I didn't really get any sleep that night. When we arrived we bumped into a lady who was doing a tour of the salt flats so we went with her to her office and booked on. It was leaving right away so we used some hotels showers then jumped into the 4x4 to set of on our 3 day tour. The first stop was a old train cemetery. I knew the train Butch Cassidy robbed was around this area somewhere but i couldn't find out where exactly. We then went to where they dig up the salt for the hole of Bolivia. Over the next few days we slept in a Salt hotel where everything was salt. We seen guises and Volcanos. Lots of lakes or different colors. Played lots of uno with head torches as there was no electricity out there but basically had alot of fun. We slowly made our way to the Chillian Border to end our tour.
