We arrived safely into Singapore after basically sleeping the whole 12 hour journey - only watched one movie! Because we were losing time by flying against the earth's direction of rotation the day we arrived in Singapore was exceptionally short, 14 hours or close to, and thus this wasn't good for jetlag effects.
We spent a couple of days in Singapore to organise visas for Indonesia and to book flights from Singapore to Manado, the airport closest to our first destination in the east of Indonesia. In the end it was cheaper for Em and I to fly from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (actually further away from our desired destination) and then onto Manado, Indonesia. Em is shrewd when it comes to organising these flights for the cheapest rate earthly possible, think she inherited this determination from her father who is also a flight hawk!
Our time in Singapore was one of logistics really and we didn't actually go and see anything entertaining other than we it was where we needed to go to use the internet or organise our visas. In the end we opted for just a visa on arrival for Indonesia anyway so all in all we acheived nothing other than to arrive, book flights and leave.
We caught a flight from Changi Airport to KL around midday, so not much to report in the two and a half days in Singapore.
