We got into Moscow pretty early morning so went to our hostel, freshened up and the honch took us to the Kremlin, St Basils and the tomb that Lenins body, despite his best wishes, is being preserved in. They reckon only 10% of his skin is still in tact, though they never mention which 10... You walk around him and he's surrounded by these intimidating guards, staring down the tourists and keeping us moving. We went on to grab a bite on a boat and then trecked through town to find a little jazz cafe. A girl joined the band halfway through the gig and they swicthed it up and started banging through the beatles discography!
We went on a treck around the city the next day and ended up in a huge park, covering acres, and it was full of people skating about and kids in mini electric cars. This led to our last night in Moscow, where we'd gone to a club with French hornists walking about playing along with the clubs tunes - Cal Harris has missed a trick, they were adding dimensions! This was the perfect way to get us in the zone for our 4-night train...
