So it's been a while since I've updated this... It's all been pretty non stop since we got to Thailand. Our first stop in Thailand was Bangkok, which was mad. It's such a crazy, busy city but I actually thought it was awesome. We spent plenty of time on Ko San road bartering (I'm quite the professional now ; ) ) for ridiculously cheap but pretty decent fake stuff. We managed to befriend a crazy tuk tuk driver called Toy who looked after us for the entire time in Bangkok and didn't even ask for payment, and just trusted us to pay him at the end! He took us to our first ever ping pong show which actually disturbed me way more than I thought it would (the girls just look so unhappy!!) but oh well an experience I guess?!?! Toy also took the boys out on a day of visiting all the temples and different buddahs (culturelads) which were actually amazing! Some of them are absolutely massive! From Bangkok we took a night bus ( that smelled like a combination of cheese and urine) and then got a smeggy ferry over to Koh Tao. Here we stayed in bungalows on the main beach front and spent a day where we rented out bikes and ATVs to drive to the hidden secluded beaches which were awesome. Like the stuff you see on postcards.
Had an absolute shocker of a day yesterday which I won't go into now but I'm sure you'll all hear about... But basically never hand over your passport to random Thaimen!!! Yeah I was pretty stupid. Definitely a lesson learnt. Everyone says you have one bad day travelling and that was definitely it...
Anyway everything has been sorted now, today we head down to Koh Sumui which is supposed to be stunning so looking forward to having a few chilled out days before heading over to Ko Phangan for the full moon period which is supposed to be mental!
Hope everyoe back home is enjoying the start of their summer! Less than 3 weeks now til I'm home! Crazy.
Love to all xxxxxx
