After yet again surviving a horrible tuk tuk ride that forced the sentence "f#%cking hell man, just be careful!" very loudly out of Matt's mouth, we asked ourselves the question.... Why did we not visit Galle last time we were here? The place is truly beautiful and by the time we stopped to even think about the time we were walking around the fort wall at sunset. The last sunset over the sea that we would witness on our amazing trip. It was perfect, the best we have seen, and the huge fireball went all the way down right over the sea in front of us until it plunged us into darkness. We had wasted away a day in the Dutch heritage without really doing anything, it flew by.
When walking to our hostel in Galle town we were hit square in the face by one of the most disgusting scenes we have seen all year...... Three men stood around laughing at a dog they had put in a clear plastic bin liner waiting for it to run out of air. SHOCKING. We went over and kept repeating "That is not funny!" in a hope they would understand and let it go. Luckily they let it out before we had to step in and the dog ran to freedom. Until the next time we suppose, IDIOTS.
