We had a bit of a sleep in before breakfast and catching the coach to the Vatican for our walking tour. We went through st peters basilica which is the largest church in Italy?? We also got taken through the Sistine chapel. It was pretty cool but you couldn't see it from the outside. I expected it to be a bit different but it was still amazing that he painted for 4 years with his head tilted back- it apparenty ruined his eyesight when he was looking normally. Our guide was funny and had an argument with another American tour guide. We left there about 12.30 and went to steves favorite pizza shop. It was ok but I liked the one in Barcelona better- they didn't warm mine up properly though so that didn't help. We then walked to get the train to the roman forum which was ruins of the towns old central meeting point. It was pretty cool but we didn't stay long because we came too late and they werent using the audio guides anymore so we didn't know what anything was. We also found out here that the colosseum was closed from 1pm... Due to Italians being italians. Everyone was so annoyed but there was nothing we could do but cone back another time. We walked around the edge though to see through some of the gates but couldn't see much. We got the train then to a place that had the cappucin monks which was a series of rooms with different body parts of bones decorated in patterns. They were all past monks who had died. It was pretty interesting but creepy at the same time and I felt a bit disrespectful looking at them. We then caught 2 trains back to the station of the colosseum to et a coin for my coin collection that I'd seen on the way in and forgotten on the way out. It was half late in the afternoon and we'd seen all we wanted to so went to catch the train home early. We got a shuttle to the camp site - seven hills camping- for 50 cents and were planning on going for a swim but the pool was closed. I got some time to upload some photos and pack before the others got back and it was dinner time. They were late because a lady on their train was sick and it was held up. We were so glad we went early. we then had dinner and prepared for the masquerade party. The party was pretty fun and the masks we got from Venice were all really cool. They had a pole at their club too so got to practice a bit. The bar man was funny and kept dancing rather hilariously. Was good at first but it made him slow to serve. Went to bed and watched stuff on the computer with glen.
