Satyed in a little town called normanton near the gulf of carpentaria. the motel was a bit of a dive, and there was a geko in the loo. had my free dinner (beef stew with pineapple in whats with putting pineapple in everything?) and a few drinks in the lively bar, an aboriginal band. it was so funny because they are all wasted and there whole family is there and they are all dancing, it was a happy time! about 2500 people live in this town. and there is a statue ...

So our flight from Sydney to Cairns was about 3 hours or more i believe, i wouldnt know as i slept through all but the last 15 mins of it!
