The unbelievable beaches, Thai lunch, more margaritas...
Our Adenture:
It was time for us to bid farewell to Playa and after donating my scratched Oakley's and half of V's backpack to our awesome complex we headed to the bus station to jump on an ADO bus to our next destination Tulum.
Tulum is on the Yucatan Peninsula, in Mexico. It is one of the earliest resorts in Mexico, offering a place of worship and solitude for the Mayan Kings, clergy and Gods in early times. The tropical beach backdrop is the main attraction of this picturesque, much-visited small ruin on the shore of the Caribbean Sea. Shortly after our arrival, we understood why early Mayans picked this beautiful place to relax.
As we got to town we jumped in a cab and headed to our abode for the evening, Hotel Posada 06. Our hotel was situated in a quiet but central part of Tulum and we were surrounded by many little characteristic restaurants and handicraft shops.
We dropped off our bags barely resisting the temptation of the hotel pool and decided to head straight out to the beach which was just 4 kilometres away to spend the rest of the day lapping up the sun. As we drove to the beach we caught a glimpse of what looked like pure paradise and oh how right we were. We jumped out the cab and we were greeted by the most amazing view down the beach of Tulum and decided to have a quick lunch at the Thai restaurant Pu where we could soak up the view.
Following lunch and after thinking we had seen our good friends, Nick and Angus, in their Speedo's down on the beach we lapped up the golden sands and see through seas of Tulum.
We spent the rest of the afternoon lapping up the sun, messing around on the beach and swimming in the ocean, which was as warm as a bath. We took long strolls down the beach and appreciated the ruins from a distance.
As the sun was going down we headed back to the hotel for some pool time and then headed out for our final Mexican meal at El Paraiso de Caribe. Unfortunately we had to bid farewell to the amazing town of Tulum and we only wished we had more time here. A definite favourite amongst the travel crew.

As well as this it wrapped up our time in Mexico where we had an amazing time. Amazing country, amazing people and amazing food. A definite must see.
Hasta la vista Mexico!
Adios,
