Hi, everyone!

My name is Yuleidy (you-lady) and I am so excited to be part of this program! I'll be honest that I was surprised that I got my first pick and that I'll be going to a country I have never been before.

A few days before the lottery event I had a dream that I was at a zoo or something that looked like it and I was taking pictures with sloths... little did I know that I will do it in a few months. :) I really can't wait to meet the people and the animals at the rescue center.

I chose to be part of ABP because I wanted to do something different on my spring break and it seemed like a lot of fun to go to a different country/state and impact lives while you're there.

My only concerns in this trip are how long we are going to be inside of an airplane and how sanitary our drinking water will be, but otherwise, I'm thrilled to go to Costa Rica Animal Rescue Center.

For the free day, I was thinking if we could go to the Arenal Volcano. There's a lot of things we can do such as hiking, visiting a hot spring, zip-lining, and Toro river rafting.
