The wind in the night was shaking our tent and we awoke for the first time to grey skies, it must be time to go home. We left early having to change our departure port to Dunkirk. The roads were quick and easy but as soon as we hit the DFDS terminal there were long queues. We thought we could automatically get on to the next available ferry but we were diverted back to the office to change our tickets and opted to pay extra to get on the next ferry rather than come back at 2 pm. We got a ticket for the 10am ferry which eventually left at 11.45am but with a busy weekend ahead we didn't want to be hanging around any longer.
So au revoir France you had been exceptionally hot for our camping trip. We have done a lot of travelling, Graham's successful triathlon, a family camping weekend, a visit to Auntie Irene's, celebrating Bastille day twice, were just some of the highlights.
Looks like we're off the Lisbon next year for the same EU championships, as Graham has pre qualified. Not forgetting Chicago in September........
