So, given that we met in Brisbane and now have been living here for a year I thought we had better do a tribute to Melbourne, the place where we've met some amazing people (Céline, Colleen, Michiel, Sabine, Keen, Sylvain, Natalie, Marcus, Dheema, Marzouk, Adriana, Helen, Ben, Marco, Jordan, Sso) and got to spend some more time getting to know people we knew before (Jullian, Anthony, Cara, Elke, Manon, Aurellien, Maxime, Esther, Michael, Vincent). We've had funky disco-chickens, tried to (unsuccessfully) steal a street sign, ran around naked on the streets, danced in the rain, hosted a crazy couchsurfer (how's your shower Céline?), cheered for the Hawks (unfortunately) at the MCG, had many bottles of wine courtesy of Dalmatino, had an amazing profiterole cake (though I wish I'd gotten a pipe ;-P) - we expect a matching one for our wedding! We've driven all the way to Bendigo to stay for only 3 hours (just for you Cara), sang Moulin Rouge drunk in our underwear (you lost the video right Anton?) and had our house robbed thanks to the luck of our very own black cat Manon who lost her legs as soon as they touched the ground in Australia, had everything stolen, lost $10,000 in bank transfers, always managed to miss the train and (I'm sure it was her fault) made my car break down on the way to take Anton to the airport ;-) - oh Manon, we love you but god didn't! Honourable mentions to all the MacDo runs for Céline, how you manage to stay so thin and beautiful on a diet of MacDonalds is unbelievable and also to Anton, we can never find the remote control anymore - champignon! Also to the visitors we've had, the Muslim brothers (Nadgim, Moha & W), Elly (who made an awesome dinner, thanks!), Courtney, Nelson (thanks for the painting) and of course the infamous Baptiste ooooouuuu We're really grateful for all the great people we've met and all the awesome times we've had including our lovely couchsurfers (minus the crazy one) and the 2 who stayed to live with us Elke & Laura (however briefly it may have been for Laura!). For now goodbye, but we'll be back!
(to all my English-speaking friends, please google translate! - Etienne)
