Got up early to make some phone calls home to let family know what we are doing. And read more news about the floods getting worse. We woke up to more rain so didn't rush getting up. Unfortunately for Mel, she had to go back to work today but Paul is still off. We had to tip toe around again this morning to catch our bus at 8.30am out of Byron Bay. It only took 1hr to get up to Surfers Paradise, but we weren't picked up on time so didn't get there until about 10am...actually, it was 9am!!! We didn't realise that the clocks went back 1 hour when we went from New South Wales to Queensland. And we've arranged to meet some friends! We're staying with Mel and Paul who we met in Laos! Well, we had one of the worst nights sleep since we've been travelling. The american girls came in at 3.15am! All we could here is there big gobs for about an hour and a half.
