Have finally arrived in kuala Lumpur after a diversion to Singapore. We were on the ground for about an hour in Singapore. Apparently weather was too bad to land in KL so we had to Divert. Had a good flight, nice seat in a bulkhead area, so lots of leg room. When we finally landed in KL we were not allowed off the plane, but instead had to stay on board whilst the cleaners cleaned around us. After about an hour we were on our way again. Time: 12.40 am Dad and I have made it to departure lounge 11 and we are waiting for the boarding gate to open. We had a coffee with mum and Michael Sharon and marnie before disappearing through the to the departure area. Dad got stuck in security - his knees went off. He had to take off the shoes and belt before they finally did a manual scan on him. Walked for ages throuh to the departure lounge. We are now sitting and waiting for the gates to open.

It is now a week until we depart for Italy. I am looking forward to spending the time with dad but am also apprehensive spending so much time away from Sharon and the kids. Will be counting down this week until next Saturday.

Sitting in the doctors waiting for a test. Am having some doubts about the upcoming trip. I known in my heart it will be great to spend the time with dad, and it may be one of the few times that I will be able to spend this quality time with him, but I still would not want to get in his way or stop him from doing what he needs to do. I am also concerned because I think he will want to splendid most of the time sitting around - not sure if I want to spend my time...
