11 Cruise Day! Well our first full day at sea begins early with my having some e-reading time in the Solarium watching the sights as I have a coffee, croissant, and yogurt. Friday August 10 Sent a day late as I just got the internet hooked up!! Well today is definitely travel day!! First we are boarding the train that will take us down to the ship in Seward- pronounce Suwerd. We pack up our luggage and head down to check out of the Sheraton and take a cab to the Marriott where we will check in for the train. We end up waiting a couple of hours before we can get the bus out but we have lots of people who come and sit and chat....

Well it is 6:30am and our time in Anchorage is drawing to an end. We will be heading out soon to board the train for our 5 hour scenic trip down to Seward. Here we will board the ship and begin another fantastic leg in our Alaskan adventure. Weather today will be in the upper 60's and low 70's with sun :) I think (and hope) that I brought more warm clothing than needed!! Stayed tuned as I 'm sure the scenic pictures from the train should be breath taking

Hello from Alaska....We made it. I think a bit of jet lag has come and we are slow moving even though the time here is is only 7:45pm.
