Hi everybody, We crossed the Malaysian border to Singapore (Which is like airport security), the first thing you notice is how clean and western the city is, the second is how expensive it is. It is also very HOT! Our first night was our tour fairwell meal, the resturant was in an old convent called 'Chijmes', which is a little like Covent Garden (dancing, music and eating). After the meal we went to the famous Raffles hotel and had a Singapore Sling (We had to share one drink as it cost 6.50 pounds for 1). It was fun and you can throw the free monkey nut shells on the floor, there is a great live band and old fashioned fans on the celling, but don't think they did much at all. It is very much like a gentlemans club. The tour finished and we had a day to check the city out. We headed down to Orchard Road to check out the shops (we are talking Prada etc, so not really to check out shops at all), pick up a starbucks mug and generally sightsee. All in all it is a great city and we would return in the future without any quarms, especially if we win the lotto. Photo's will follow when we get a good connection.
