We met our friends, Margot and Jocelyn at the airport, and had a smooth flight to Sydney. It was pouring rain in Sydney, much to the joy of the whole drought stricken country, but it meant our connecting flight to Santiago was delayed a little. The 11 and a half hour flight passed surprisingly quickly as we slept well in the comfortable sea…

Hi, I was doing some research on the McNeill Family and came across this. Thomas McNeill is also my 2nd Great Grandfather. I am the granddaughter of Louis McNeill. Thank you for the info you have put up, another piece of history to add to my research.

I'm with you: Melbourne is my favourite city (after Brisbane of course). Aren't we lucky your ancestor didn't become an ordained catholic priest or you wouldn't have 'become' at all.

I love reading your blogs Laurel as I don't know when I will ever get to Italy - I was amazed to read about the crown of thorns housed in that little church - its hard to imagine how it endured the test of so much time. The tower looks spectacular against the backdrop of that brilliant blue sky - lucky you being there 4 times - we often marvel at natures beauty but man made monuments can be just as incredible.

Would love to have seen your Xmas tree made from Moët boxes - I thought what a great idea but then I realized Passion Pop doesn't come in a box - lol
