One week in Brisbane has flown by. I have my bags packed and I am ready for an early start tomorrow where I fly to Fiji for 3 weeks. Those long days in Clermont now feel like a distant memory as I pack in my new bikini and sun glasses about to head to an amazing beach island. My flight leaves Brisbane at 9.30 am so I have to catch the 6am train to the airport. I am so excited to get to Fiji and see what it has to offer, I hear such great stories about it. I seemed strange getting things ready like changing my money to fiji dollors it feels like I am about to embark upon a holiday...but leaving from Australia not England.

This week I have just spent time getting back to reality after my regional work, sorting out banking, accommodation, buying clothes, and catch up with friends. I also had to look into this Fiji trip as I had only booked the return flights. After spending a full day in the backpacker agency I have booked what I think with be a unforgettable Fiji experience. My first few days are just relaxing and chilling at a beach side hostel...with good night life hopefully. I then set off on a 7 day island hopping adventure, which takes me to many of Fiji's Islands including seeing the island staying there the night and many activity such as: shark swimming, manta ray swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, fiji cooking lessons, sand boarding, jungle walks and loads of other things. I can't wait for that, I think it will be an action packed week. I then get back to the island main land for a few days before setting off on a more cultural weeks trip around the mainland. I get to see local school, orphanages, markets and meet some local people, as well as experience traditional Fijian food and culture. I think this will be a great experience to see what life is like over there , as well as a chilled time on the beach and islands.

I am so excited but have to go to sleep, as I have a early start. Will let you know what Fiji is like when I return...with a good tan and a lot of stories I hope :)
