16TH Sept

Well not quite writing from Rarotonga as have ot a bit behind but will quickly fill you in on our last 2 days in the cooks. Got back from Aitataki on Thursday night. Friday the weather was miserable, pure cloud so went police station and got Pauls cook islands photocard driving licence! We then did much needed washing and spent the rest of the day driving round the island on the scooter and in the internet cafe. That place was a nightmare, lookd really new and funky and did good muffins but was so slow, still i couldn't give in! Paul spent the time looking up all the football results and looking at all the teams in his sunday league! That night went to the Muri beach hotel for dinner which was very nice.

Saturday couldn't believe it as the weather was still rubbish, locals couldn't believe it either as the week before it had rained for 5 days! Anyway we still got out and about on our scooter. We went to the local market which was good but didn't buy anything. Paul then made me watch the local teenage football match, in the drizzle! We had a drink back at the posh little polynesian then drink at the rarotongan spa before having lunch on the beach at the pacific hotel just a couple down from us but rather more posher! Dinner was back to sails which was our first restaurant and they remembered us! Then got dropped at the airport for our midnight flight, still had to be there 2hrs before despite beng the only plane and the smallest airport ever, they only have 1 flight to USA! Got very good seats had 7 seats to choose from so i had a row of 3 that i slept for 6 hours lying down and paul had 2 seats and also slept between the films, we had taken an Oz antihistimine and it is amazing! Got to LA at midday feeling not as tired from the 9hr night flight as thought would of! So had a great time in Cooks, what an amazing ploace, weather was terrible though but at least we had good weather for our trip to Aitataki, now in America, will update u soon!
