It was a good job we'd seen a lot the day before as this day we spent mostly hungover! After a brilliant night out we suffered on this day (Laura especially!) so we took a while to get going in the morning! We eventually made it to the nice dark, cool internet cafe for a little while, before taking the streetcar (not the taxi comapny from Corrie, that's what they call their tram system) along the waterfront to a large shopping centre called the Riverwalk.
We weren't really in the mood for shopping but the air conditioned building was more pleasant than the heat and humidity outside. We looked in a few shops and made one important purchase, which will be sent to England shortly...
After a few more hours sleep back at the hotel we headed out for our final night in The Big Easy. Found a restaurant which was quite cheap and feeling adventurous, Dave ordered blackened Catfish, which turned out to be very nice! We stuck to 'sodas' on this night, still feeling delicate from the night before.
Before returning to the hotel to pack (again!), we stopped off at Pat O'Brien's to watch the duelling pianos again. Got a table this time and the waiter didn't seem impressed when we ordered 2 diet cokes! Our friend Alvin was on again playing his tray. He's so funny to watch, his face is a picture while he's playing, he just seems so happy to be there. Only stayed about an hour then headed back to the hotel, packed, and got an early night ready for our 5:30am start the next day...
