We headed back to Queenstown today as we had booked to go to the Ice Bar tonight there. I felt a bit hungover when we set off. We decided to go the alternative route to past the Cardrona mountain and see the sights of that route. It took soooo much longer! We passed a bungi jump place and stopped to watch a few jumpers, it wasn't a very big one but it was the first one in NZ!! When we got to the campsite we booked in for two nights as we're going to go back to Wanaka on Sunday for a jam night in Fitzpatrick's. We headed in to town and had a look around, we still couldn't bring ourselves to book any trips because of how expensive they were and we would both prefer to spend the money on skiing/snowboarding. We went to a place for tea called Fergburger, which Adam had been to before and said was amazing, every time we had been passed there was queues out of the door!! We queued up and ordered two cheese burgers and some fries. We had to wait about half an hour. Whilst we were waiting I managed to get us a table so I sat there whilst Adam waited inside for the food. The table next to us had a young Chinese couple and the girl was sitting next to me, she made me feel sick, every time she took a bite from her burger she would lean towards me and take a slobbering bite from her burger letting bits fall all over the floor between our two tables. I had to pull my hat over my left eye so I couldn't see her, she was so disgusting! The food was unbelievably good, the burger was huge and really nice and the fries and aioli were gorgeous! Once we'd eaten we headed back to the camp site for showers and to get ready to go out. We had some vouchers for a couple of bars so we called in to one for a drink and they had a gorgeous open fire pit inside, it was lovely but after a while you just smelt of smoke!! We went to an Irish bar where we had seen live music advertised, the band started not long after we went in and they were ok. We just had one drink and then headed to the ice bar. The Ice Bar, I thought, was better than the one in London. They even had a fire place and a air hockey table (with no air)! It was really cool. They had a vodka luge too which Adam did and we had our photos taken in the ice photo booth! When we were leaving we went to the toilet and the toilet was shared with another bar so we decided to go in there for a drink. It was such a cool bar, Adam thinks its the best bar he has ever been in, it was like a western, the seats at the bar were saddle and everything was made out of wood and there were big open fires, it was really cool. They also played awesome music and had videos of live performances of the songs that were on. It was so cool. When we left there we went to another bar which I had a two for one voucher for, this turned out to be the bar where the foot dance originated when Adam was here before with Aaron. We had a couple of drinks and Adam recreated the birth of the foot dance and then we decided to call it a night and head back to the camper.
